Thirty-eight steps down from the garden gate to the hotel's own stone jetty, towels and a ladder waiting. The water is clear to the bottom by eight.
How it works
The garden gate is unlocked at seven. Take a towel from the basket, walk the thirty-eight steps down and swim from the jetty or the flat rocks beside it.
A flask of coffee is left on the jetty table until nine. There is no lifeguard; the water is calm and deep, and we ask you to swim in pairs early and late.
