The room
The Harbour Room faces east over the working harbour, so the light arrives early and warm. The floor is the original 1911 oak, sanded back and oiled; the walls are limewashed by hand every spring.
The bed is a queen made up with Biella linen and a wool blanket for the cooler nights of April and October. A writing desk sits under the window, with a lamp, hotel paper and a fountain pen that tends to go home with guests.
Good to know
The boats leave at six. If you would rather sleep through it, the interior shutters close fully and the room goes properly dark.
