Hand-laid terracotta floors, a woven rug and a lamp you will want to take home. Small, warm and quiet: the room for long novels and afternoon naps.
The room
The smallest of our rooms and, some say, the most comfortable. The floor is hand-made terracotta from a kiln twenty minutes inland, and the rug was woven for the room by a workshop in the old town.
It looks onto the courtyard rather than the sea, so it is the quietest room in the house. There is a deep armchair, a good reading lamp and a shelf of books left by previous guests.
Good to know
A double bed, 160 cm wide. Ideal for one guest on a long stay, or two who do not mind being close.

The shutters open onto a stone balcony with a table for two and the whole cape in view. The one guests ask for by name; book it early for June.

Walls half a metre thick keep it cool through August. The original customs-house stone is left bare, with a louvred window onto the lemon garden.
