Our breakfast, explained
Why it runs until 11:30, why there is no buffet, and the lemon cake that has been on the menu since 1962.

Until 11:30, and no buffet
We serve breakfast to order, at the table, until half past eleven. There is no buffet because nothing on a buffet is ever as good as it is the minute it is made.
The menu changes with the season, but a few things never do: the eggs from Casa Bellandi, the ricotta from the hills, and the lemon cake.
The lemon cake
The recipe is from Signora Verrane, who ran the kitchen in 1962. We have changed nothing, including the amount of butter.
