What to pack for a September week
The sea is at its warmest, the evenings turn cool and the hill paths are dry. A short, honest list from the front desk.
The short list
Linen for the day, a light jumper for the terrace after nine, and shoes you can walk the coastguard path in. A swimsuit you do not mind wearing twice a day.
Leave the hairdryer at home; there is one in every room. Leave the beach towel too: we have more than we need.
What guests forget
Something for the boat: a hat that will not blow off, and a small waterproof bag for your phone.
